Job Search Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) for holders of foreign academic qualifications which are fully recognized in Germany.
You must submit the following documents:
Filled in and signed application form . Please ensure that a high quality printout of the barcode is submitted with the application.
Two recent biometric passport photos (not older than six months), one glued to the application forms and one attached with a paper clip.
Passport, issued within the last 10 years and valid for at least one more year from the intended date of entry into Germany, with at least 2 empty pages + 2 photocopies of the data page
Valid Maltese residence permit + 2 photocopies.
Certificate regarding your foreign academic qualification (e.g. university degree). You must make sure that your foreign academic qiualification is equivalent to a German degree. Produce a printout from the anabin database of both your foreign degree and the foreign institution of higher education.
Funds to cover living expenses. You must have at least 1.027,- EUR available per month. You can prove the availability of such funds by
Blocked bank account (Sperrkonto). You can choose where to set up your blocked account. The Embassy does not recommend any particular service provider. Feel free to carry out a search on the internet using the keywords “Blocked account” or “Sperrkonto”.

Work contract for a part-time employment in Germany totalling not more than 20 hours per week on average.Proof of (first) accomodation upon arrival in Germany.
Health insurance policy covering the length of the validity of the visa. The policy can be presented later, at the latest on the day the visa is issued.
Visa fee is 75,- EUR to be paid either in cash (exact change please) or by credit card (only Visa or Master Card).
Please note:
Certificates, diplomas etc. issued in countries outside the EU must be presented as originals with apostille/legalisation. Your original documents will be returned to you once your application has been processed.
